Why Everyone Should Plan Their Own Funeral

There's no doubt about it – the funeral business is big business. It's also one of life's most difficult times for family members of the deceased who as well as being distraught are left to make funeral arrangements for their deceased family member – often with very short notice. These arrangements are usually extremely costly, adding a significant amount on financial pressure in what is already a stressful and emotional time.

About Me

Planning Funerals to Alleviate Grief

Hi, my name is Maxine, and after my father passed away a few years ago, I got an intensive lesson in planning funerals. Through my intense grief, I had to think about burial versus cremation, religious versus modern ceremonies and many other issues. Honestly, planning the funeral helped to alleviate my grief. It gave me something to do, provided me with time to think about my father's passing and gave me a ritualistic way to express my grief and share it with others. If you have lost someone, please explore this blog. My posts center on how to grieve while planning a funeral.
